Oh what a relief it is!

Finally, our son is asleep for longer than 20 minutes

Ever since catching my cold, it's been impossible for Wyatt to sleep since his sinuses have been completely stuffed. Apparently infants really only breathe through their noses, so, having plugged up sinuses makes being an infant pretty dang hard. Since late Thursday night, I think Wyatt's only slept about 12 hours total...so that means the same (or less) for me and Amy. Throughout the day he'll start to nap, but, unfortunately will wake up about 20-30 minutes into the nap coughing (post nasal drip) and crying. These cries are noticeably different than others in the past, as their more "wails" and sound like he's saying "Oooooohhh". Coincidentally, we learned that this "ooohhh" is really babyspeak for "I am tired' from the Dunstin Baby Language DVD we got. So...it all makes sense. We feel so bad for him because he just canNOT sleep. However, as I type this in bed sitting next to the co-sleeper, he's out cold (90 minutes and counting) with no sniffles. Let's hope he can maintain!

On another positive note, he's holding his food down a little bit more often, and, not having too many of the reflux issues we had on Friday (we've resumed regular medicine doses!). He has never laughed, smiled, or been as cuddly more than he is right now. It's so sweet to hang out with him and get to see his personality start to come out. He's definitely very patient with his parents...that's for sure!
